Muslim Mau-Mauing

Over the past six years we've seen a depressing number of news sources accept their dhimmi status and bow to Islamic thugs at CAIR and other Muslim pressure groups. They were afraid to publish the Mohammed cartoons. They condemned the Pope for his statements rather than violent Islamic reaction to the truth he told. They bought the Hezbollah propaganda during last summer's Lebanon war without question. Now Newsweek is trying to present Iran as a possible victim of American agression, or as it states in its insanely and blindly sympathetic to Iran article,
The Iranians have reason to feel paranoid.

Fortunately, not every journalist is ready to bend over. Rod Dreher boldly refuses to join the majority of his collegues in submission to Islamic pressure groups.
Dallas is home to a large and relatively prosperous Muslim community. The Dallas Central Mosque is Texas’s largest. The area’s Muslims, though, have had a contentious relationship in recent years with the Dallas Morning News, mostly because of the paper’s groundbreaking 2001 reporting on the Holy Land Foundation, whose leadership is now under federal terrorism indictment. Since then, local Muslim leaders have engaged in a running dialogue with the News, with the declared aim of improving relations.

It was in that spirit that Sayyid Syeed, then head of the Islamic Society of North America, came in, together with a local delegation, to see the editorial board a few months after I arrived from New York in 2003. Syeed made a laborious presentation about how journalists needed to join with the organization in promoting peace, tolerance, and reconciliation. I knew something about ISNA and asked Syeed why—if his group truly supported peace and suchlike—its board included members directly linked to Islamic extremism and anti-Semitism, including the notorious Wahhabi-trained Brooklyn imam Siraj Wahhaj. The professorial Syeed dropped his polite mask, shook his fist at me, told me that I would one day “repent,” and compared my question with a Nazi inquisition.

Hysterical indignation, I soon learned, is the standard operating procedure for Islamic groups in dealing with the media in this town. Shortly after the Syeed meeting, I published a column in the News decrying the media’s evasion of legitimate questions about Islamic figures and organizations, hoping to shame journalists into posing them. That’s how I became, in the designation of one (now-defunct) Muslim website dedicated to criticizing the News, “the new face of hate.”
Read the whole thing for more on Dreher's battle against his local Dallas Islamists. He is inspiring and he gives me hope that others in his business will listen to him and realize what the Islamic supremecists are trying to force on us. Then write to your local news outlets and demand that they be vigilent in not succumbing to Islamic pressure. Especially write to the dhimmis at Newsweek and ask why they are taking the side of Iranian psychopath, Amadinajad. Have they no shame?

Another Reminder: Appeasement Doesn't Work - or - Gimme Gimme Gimme, Gimme Some More

According to the Detroit News,
Fitness USA, a gym chain, is investigating an alleged civil rights violation involving a local Muslim woman who says her afternoon prayer was interrupted by a fellow patron, and that her complaint to management about the situation was rejected.

"The manager told me, 'You have to respect her (the patron), but she does not have to respect your God,' " said Wardeh Sultan of Dearborn. "I've had my membership for seven or eight years, and I've never had a problem with praying there.

"I told that manager, 'I can't believe you said that' " Sultan said. "Honestly, I feel humiliated and I feel ashamed, right now, to go back to Fitness USA."
My first thought was, shut up! You already have a divider in the Lincoln Park Fitness USA after complaints about Muslim women having to be viewed by men as they excercised without wearing burkhas. So take your "humiliation" and your "shame" someplace where somebody cares. You can read the article for more Islamic whining.

Debbie Schlussel has the skinny on this latest Islamic supremecist PR stunt.
Well, as with everything involving Islamist troublemakers, there is far more to the story. Here's what I received from the Islamist ADC (American Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee) in the Detroit area (headed by "former" Islamic terrorist Imad Hamad). You have to read between the lines, but it sounds like Wardeh Sultan, the Palestinian Muslim chick, got in the way in the women's locker room and picked a fight with the women trying to get around her.

It appears that Sultan objected to other gym members' exercise of free speech. It also appears that the whiny Muslim chick refused to identify herself to gym management and was being so disruptive, she was asked to leave and the police were called. The police arrived and questioned Sultan, and she was forced to leave.

And it looks like from the language used ("claimant") that lawyers are already involved and a lawsuit is already being prepared:
Fitness USA's first mistake was giving in so easily the first time. Now they've established themselves as dhimmis. So what will the insulted Muslims want next? I'm sure they are already mulling that over as they piss and moan over their poor bruised feelings. It's way past time for us to stop giving any sympathy to members of the most intolerant religion on Earth when they complain of intolerance.

A Frenchman with a Spine, Italian Dhimmis

According to this article in Haaretz, there are some in France like Xavier Lemoine, mayor of Montfermeil who do "get it" when it comes to the Islamic peril facing Europe.
"Look," he said, standing at the window of his office and pointing at the immigrant neighborhood, "it's either them or us. If they win, we are dead ducks. I am a proud French Catholic and I have no intention of living as a 'dhimmi' (a non-Muslim enjoying protected status in a Muslim country - D.B.S.) in my own country. We are different from them, and these people do not represent France. We are caught in the middle of an Islamic war being fought all over the world - in Iraq, Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan. Everything that happens over there has reverberations here in France and influences the immigrants."

Initially, he thought the "rebellion" was being fueled by poverty and problems of integration in a new society. He soon realized that the Muslims were a cultural challenge to his country. One incident, for instance, continues to haunt him.

"It was two months after September 11," he recalled. "We were holding a festival of drawings in our kindergartens and elementary schools. I was amazed to find that 20 percent of the children, all of them Muslims, had depicted Osama bin Laden as a cultural hero. That discovery still sends shivers down my spine."

For the past few nights, he has been troubled by a recurring nightmare in which immigrants flee their houses and burn down the city. He is sure the Muslim immigrants have declared war on France with the intention of bringing it to its knees. He considers the Jews allies in this confrontation. "I am pained by the thought that my country is ashamed of its culture and values. When France denies its own history and incessantly apologizes for slavery, for its conquests and for colonialism, is it any wonder that the immigrants are rising up against it and are showing no respect for it? Unfortunately, France has not demanded that they change. It has allowed them to speak Arabic and to cultivate their heritage at the expense of French culture."

Construction will soon begin in Montfermeil on a mosque with a 12-meter minaret. According to Lemoine, because of a lack of Muslim places of worship, he gave in to pressure and permitted the building of the mosque, which is intended to serve the 25,000 Muslims in the area. He hopes the prayer services and the opening of a place where Muslims can gather will cool passions in their community; however, he has no illusions. "This is a struggle between cultures," he sighs. "It is a war between Islam and Western culture. France and all of Europe are in danger. If we fail to understand the extent of the Muslim threat, we are in grave peril."
We know, of course, that the building of this mosque will only empower the local Muslims to demand more. If Mayor Lemoine had more support from the spineless French and deluded EU governements, maybe he wouldn't be in this situation.

Meanwhile, in Italy, assorted mental midgets, moral retards, and dhimmis are allowing Oriana Fallaci to be brought to trial for defaming Islam. The charge is being brought by a certain Adel Smith.

As far as I know, Ms. Fallaci is living in New York City and has no plans to visit Italy to face these fools.
